The most frequentley asked question regarding overpacks is how to get the damaged drum/container inside an Overpack. Well here are the various techniques.
Inverted Overpack Technique
Place the damaged drum on the Overpack lid, Slide the overpack over the drum tighten then rotate upright.
Roller Technique
Place the damaged drum on its side with 1-2" metal rolls underneath it. Place the Overpack so that the damaged drum can be rolled most of the way into the Overpack. Then turn upright.
Drum Lifting Technique
A drum lifter is attached to the drum. The a crane/forklift lifts the drum inside the Overpack.
Angle Roll Technique
Place the damaged drum and Overpack end-to-end at an obtuse angle. Borth are rolled simultaneously so that the drum works its way into the overpack. When inqward progress stops, reverse the original angle and roll in the opposite direction. Continue this process until the drum is in the Overpack. Then turn the Overpack upright.
